Gardening

Peri-urban systems of producing food constructed from waste materials promotes an informal learning of agriculture and motivates children, youths, and families to take lead in food production in the face of food insecurity a major challenge in rural communities.

Workshops

On-campus workshop where families will visit, work and acquire skills on sustainable family gardening while the off-campus workshop will be based on monitoring individual establish a garden in their respective community.

Community engagement

Dirt to Power initiative integrates distinct families, students, professors, national and international visitors coming into the university. This create space for cultural exchange and promotion of a healthy and strong society.

Dirt to Power Initiative offers education tours to the visitors, community duelers, visiting students and all the people interested to know more about peri-urban gardening.
